From invisible to indexed: how Motivez went from zero AI recognition to appearing across six platforms in six weeks.

Motivez — hero

"A pre-launch startup with no digital footprint. Six weeks later, appearing on every major AI platform."

Motivez wasn't losing ground in AI search. It didn't exist in it at all.

Motivez is a pre-launch mobile app built around a problem most people know well: decision paralysis around social plans. The app lets users discover things to do nearby, coordinate with friends, sync calendars, and use a randomization feature called the Motivez Dice when nobody can agree on a plan. With over 2,500 waitlist signups before launch, the concept had traction.

The digital presence told a different story.

When VYZ tested Motivez across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Kimi, and Perplexity using prompts related to social discovery apps, activity planning tools, and things to do near you, the result was the same every time: no mention, no recognition, nothing. The AI models had no record the brand existed.

For a consumer app targeting young adults — a demographic that increasingly turns to AI for app recommendations and activity ideas — invisibility inside AI platforms is a structural problem that compounds over time. Every week that passes without recognition is another week of potential users being sent elsewhere.

What VYZ found at the start.

Before any work began, VYZ ran a full diagnostic. What came back confirmed the scope of the problem.

The Motivez website existed but was technically underpowered. PageSpeed scores across Performance, SEO, and Best Practices were estimated in the 40 to 60 range on both mobile and desktop — well below the threshold that search engines and AI models use to assess site credibility. There was no blog content, no subpages, no structured data markup, and no social media presence.

The third-party footprint was zero. No Reddit mentions, no external citations, no review sites referencing the brand. The site was live, but it gave AI models nothing to index, nothing to cite, and nothing to build a picture of the brand from.

Building AI recognition from nothing requires covering every signal at once.

AI models don't index websites the way search engines do. They build their understanding of a brand from everything written about it across the web: the site itself, blog content, third-party citations, social signals, and community mentions. VYZ treated Motivez's visibility as a multi-channel problem and addressed all of it simultaneously.

01

Technical Site Optimization

VYZ rebuilt and restructured the website's underlying code for speed, crawlability, and technical correctness. A site that loads slowly or is structured poorly gives AI systems and search engines less to work with. Before any visibility work could compound, the foundation had to be solid.

02

SEO Infrastructure

Full on-page SEO was implemented across the site: metadata, structured data markup (JSON-LD schema), and semantic HTML. This is what tells crawlers and AI systems what a page is about and why it should be associated with relevant topics. Without it, Motivez was invisible by design.

03

Content Expansion

AI models form a picture of a brand from the breadth of content that exists about it across the web. VYZ created and published blog content and built out dedicated subpages — including a reviews section and a blog index. Each new page is an additional indexed signal. The more relevant content exists about Motivez, the more material AI models have to draw from when forming answers.

04

Social Media Presence

VYZ established Motivez on relevant social platforms. Social signals contribute to how brands are perceived and referenced across the web — feeding into the training and retrieval systems that AI models rely on to validate whether a brand is real and relevant.

05

Third-Party Mentions

AI models weight citations from external sources far more heavily than self-published content. A brand that only talks about itself carries less weight than one that other sources reference. VYZ seeded Motivez mentions on Reddit and other external platforms to build the citation layer that AI systems look for.

06

Analytics Foundation

Google Analytics and cookie-based tracking were implemented on the Motivez site. Visibility without measurement is noise. This gives the team a clear traffic baseline and the data needed to make informed decisions on where to concentrate future optimization work.

Zero to six platforms in six weeks.

The technical improvements are measurable and verifiable. The AI visibility progress is early but real.

On the AI side, Motivez now appears in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Kimi, and Perplexity when contextually relevant prompts are used. Six weeks ago, that number was zero. The current recognition requires more specific prompts to trigger — broader, higher-volume queries are the next milestone. But the shift from invisible to recognized is the hardest part of AI visibility. Motivez has cleared it.

A foundation, not a ceiling.

AI visibility is not a one-time fix. The signals that got Motivez recognized across six platforms in six weeks are the same signals that deepen that recognition over time — they compound.

The current recognition requires more specific prompts to trigger consistently. VYZ's ongoing work is focused on the next stage: broader, shorter prompts surfacing Motivez on higher-volume queries — the kind of searches that happen millions of times a day across ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.

Analytics data is now in place to inform every decision going forward. Traffic patterns, user behavior, and referral sources are all visible for the first time. Month over month, the picture becomes clearer and the strategy gets sharper.

Motivez launched into AI search from zero. The work from here is to turn early recognition into consistent recommendation.
